Terms & Conditions
This is part of your agreement when joining Katrina Dance Academy (KDA). Membership is open to all subject to the following conditions:
Staff/teachers:
Our staff are qualified, experienced and all hold an enhanced DBS. There is always a first aider on site.
Behaviour:
Offensive language and behaviour is not tolerated, and we reserve the right to terminate membership without notice, the final decision being undertaken by the Principal. Behaviour of staff, parents and students must always follow our code-of-conduct.
Please note that under no circumstances are pets allowed on school premises.
Uniform:
This is basic but essential and gives the students a sense of belonging, a sense of ritual and sense of dressing for something important – their class. Appropriate clothing is necessary for health and safety and child protection:
Students are required to purchase uniform within four weeks of enrolment.
A uniform list will be sent in your welcome pack when you join.
· All belongings should be clearly labelled.
· Strictly no jewellery.
· Hair must be tied back into a plait or bun for all classes.
Attendance:
Students must arrive on time and be collected promptly. It is important that students arrive in time for their classes to allow the group time to settle from the moment the class starts. Latecomers will have to wait outside until an appropriate time to join the class. Students arriving after 15 minutes, without prior notice may be refused admission, as this may disrupt the professional attitude to classes we aim to foster.
Where possible KDA will aim to let people know of any changes in venue or class time at least 24hrs ahead of schedule.
Students under 5 years require a parent/carer on site at all times.
Absence:
Please email in advance of your child will be absent from class, so we can notify the class teacher and update registers. Any student missing for more than two classes without reason may not be able to join future classes. Class numbers are limited, and many have waiting lists, so good attendance and commitment is essential.
Collection:
Students must be collected from class by an adult. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure the child is collected punctually at the end of the class. Children of secondary school age can be dismissed without a parent if we have prior written permission from a parent/guardian.
Booking:
KDA does not provide drop-in classes. All classes must be booked in advance. New students may join classes mid-term subject to availability.
Payment:
Payment is collected by monthly subscription on the 1st of each month. Class subscriptions are spread into 12 equal payments for your convenience. Terms dates have already been taken into account.
£10 will be charged for payments received after the 1st of the month.
£25 will be charged for missed payments.
There will be no refunds for missed classes.
Holiday camps and workshops are non-refundable.
Show/exam/competition fees are non-refundable.
Cancellation:
Should you wish to cancel a class, we require 30 days written notice via email along with one final full subscription payment.
